When you receive your 100% wool blanket it might have a slight odor. Our wool is completely natural and has not been washed with chemicals to remove its natural coating of lanolin.
High-quality wool products can smell of lanolin, which is naturally secreted by sheep.
Many wool products are made with wool that’s been heavily processed or ‘super-washed’ which can mask the smell, our Violet and Alchemy 100% sheep’s wool blankets do not go through this process.
